Tad Lo is a located off the beaten path in an area of Southern Laos called the Bolavan Plateau. The region is know for their spectacular waterfalls, coffee and various ethnic minority tribes. This was by far the highlight of my motorbiking adventure in Laos.
For about 80,000 Laotian New Kip (about $10 USD) I stayed in a bungalow, just steps from the Tad Hang waterfall in the middle of the forest with nobody around me but wildlife, the soothing sounds of the waterfall and tons of mosquitoes.
I took this shot of the Tad Hang waterfall handheld with my Canon 5D Mark II and Canon 24-105 f/4 L lens. The water was not flowing at full force since it was the dry season, but I still found the scene spectacular especially since I had it all to myself that evening.
I found my slice of paradise in Tad Lo, Laos.
