“Step Aboard The World’s Oldest Active Sailing Ship”
The Star of India has survived and thrived through collisions, cyclones, ice, mutiny and has circled the globe 21 times. It was built in England on the Isle of Man in 1863 and arrived in San Diego in 1927. I went to the Broadway Pier the other night (6/17/2020) and saw the construction that is changing the face of San Diego’s waterfront, yet through all that the Star of India remains the same.

I'm an award winning travel photographer from Southern California.
